Ronni Benatoff was born in Italy from Israeli parents.; after high school, he left for Israel where he served 3 years in the IDF and after that he  studied at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Benatoff is an international businessman with a deep knowledge of the venture capital industry in Israel and renewable energies and food industry in Italy. He is a long time entrepreneur in international trade and has served as member of the Management Board and the Managing Director – Israel for Syntek Capital AG, a 200 million € pan European investment company based in Germany.

Ronni has been until recently shareholder and Director in charge of operations and financing of Sunflower Italy srl, a major player in the Italian photovoltaic industry. He has been Chairman of the Board or Director in several technological companies including both start up and a Nasdaq traded American company.

Active in community affairs, Ronni is also President of the Israel-Italy Chamber of Commerce, member of the Board of Governors of the Jewish Agency for Israel, founder and former Chairman  and presently Director and member of the Investment Committee of the KH-UIA Endowment Fund.

In 2016 he was honored with the title of Grand Officer Order of Merit of the Italian Republic.
