Richard Prasquier is a successful cardiologist and former head of the Cardiology Clinic at the Paris Faculty of Medicine, with numerous publications and scientific participations in the field of cardiac ultrasound to his credit. He and his wife, Anna Eichenwald, have five children, two of whom live in Israel, and 17 grandchildren.
President of Keren Hayesod France since September 2013 until January 2020. Today He is the Honorary President of Keren Hayessod France. Richard has been involved in many causes, Jewish and non-Jewish, for decades. His has served as president of Israel Bonds in France, chairman of the French Committee for Yad Vashem, adviser to the chairman of the CRIF, president of the CRIF and vice president of the European Jewish Congress. He has also been vice president of the Foundation for the Memory of the Shoah, vice president of Yahad-in Unum, chairman of the Endowment Fund for the Memorial of Cardinal Lustiger and a member of the International Auschwitz Council.
Richard holds several distinctions: He was named a Knight of France’s Legion of Honour, an Officer of the French Ordre National du Mérite and Commander of the Order of Merit of the Polish Republic. In 2015, he was awarded the annual prize of the Jewish-Christian Friendship Association of France, a member of the International Council of Christians and Jews.
