UIA Victoria’s campaign started on a high note with the annual Women’s Division Breakfast on Thursday, March 2nd and an evening function at a private home with Major Donors.

Close to 530 people attended this year’s annual Women’s Division Breakfast and were thrilled to hear an impassioned and informative speech from The Right Honorable Stephen Harper, 22nd Prime Minister of Canada.

Prime Minister Harper, one of Israel’s most loyal supporters, received three standing ovations at the breakfast, one before he even spoke. He responded by delivering a powerful speech in support of Israel and its people, condemning the BDS movement as a “new-face” of anti-Semitism, raising and reassuring the audience that he will continue to fight for and stand by Israel.

Funds raised at Women’s Division events in Victoria each year are allocated to this project which supports and works closely, through mentors, with disadvantaged youth and their families in 36 locations around Israel. Noa spoke from the heart about her work in Dimona and the impact the donors’ dollars have on each and every child.
